Why did you start teaching?
The passion to improve students' education and the quality of teaching are two key drivers for my interest in teaching. Also, I enjoy being a life-long learner, thus I get to transfer such qualities to our students. I inspire students through teaching to become future leaders, and seeing such an impact fuels my interest in teaching.

What qualities make someone particularly successful in cyber security?
In the field of information assurance and cyber security, an individual whose focus to be the best can excel quickly, but they will have to stay current in their profession, motivated, match their industry experience with professional degrees and direct certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, and/or CISA certified). These qualities, besides their coursework and professional experience, will surely impact their career greatly.
What do you think is the biggest challenge that people in the profession face today?
The massive and swift growth of technology. Tools in IT get outdated quick. Thus, staying active in the field of research, education and training is key to being successful.
What is the one book you think everyone should read?
"What Successful People Know About Leadership" by John Maxwell.
